The #youthvgov communications team is seeking interns!
The communications intern will work as an integral part of the communications team during a very important time for Our Children's Trust. On October 29, the youth climate lawsuit Juliana v. US will go to trial against the federal government in Eugene, Oregon. The trial will last 10-12 weeks.
The communications team is busy building momentum around the #TrialoftheCentury and telling the stories of the brave youth plaintiffs taking on the Trump administration. With highly refined written and verbal communication skills, experience on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, and excellent time management, the communications intern will be a crucial part of telling this important story to the public. Candidates for this internship must be deeply passionate about solving the climate crisis, work well independently and as part of a team, and be able to think outside of the box.
The schedule for the communications internship is flexible, with the option to work onsite or remotely, or a combination of both. Candidates do not need to be located in Eugene. The intern's duties and responsibilities can be honed to best fit his/her interests and education needs.
